Pastor Elliott is a well respected and highly anointed man of God. He has been married to Evangelist Cassandra Elliott for 24 years and together they have 3 children and one grandchild. This Holy Ghost power couple has co-founded a unique and dynamic ministry of reconciliation ministering to the whole man and designed to bridge the gap between man and God, one soul at a time.

In 1995 while serving as a minister at his local church, Pastor Elliott noticed that there was something missing. He was prayerful and the Lord began to deal with him. The Lord showed him that Men who love God and loved their family were the missing element. At that time God gave Pastor a burning desire to see Men take their rightful place in the home and the church. The vision began with a 100 African American Men Outreach Service, with the Theme Bridging the Gap between Man and God one Soul at a time. This Service was based on the scripture Ezekiel 22:30 –Which states - And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. The service brought men of all backgrounds, races, and religions together for the purpose of worshiping God. It was a catalyst for change in the lives of many; broken relationships were mended, marriages and family were reunited, men were saved and restored to right fellowship with God. This service became a true ministry of reconciliation. So it was only fitting that in Dec. 2000 when God called Pastor Elliott into a ministry of his own that Bridging the Gap would be it’s name; After all God had indeed anointed and blessed the outreach services.

Pastor Elliott and the Men of Bridging the Gap continue to reach out to men of all backgrounds, races and religions to help bring them to God one soul at a time.

Pastor Elliott is a great leader, Pastor, teacher, visionary and man of faith. He is active in both the church and the community. His “Thanksgiving cheer” program which provides aTurkey with all the trimmings has been instrumental in providing holiday meals for many needy families throughout the community for the past 8 years. Pastor Elliott is very involved in every aspect of the program from beginning to end, taking time out to pick up, and hand deliver baskets along with other members of the church. Under his direction Bridging the Gap Ministries ministers to the needs of saints and sinners alike, bringing all into intimate relationship with God.

Evangelist Cassandra Elliott is a highly respected and committed woman of God. She has not been able to escape the strong call of God on her life. Even as a young adult, she was compelled to declare the saving message of Christ and dedicated herself to his service. Throughout the years Evangelist Elliott has served on many boards and ministry organizations. As God saw fit, she was elevated from service to service and leadership. Elliott accepted the calling on her life from God and his will for her to preach the word in August of 1999; as she received her Missionary and Evangelist license from the late Bishop L. T. Walker of Little Rock, Arkansas. Armed with enthusiasm and determination to fulfill her God ordained destiny, Evangelist Elliott became First lady and co-founder of Bridging The Gap Ministries Church, Inc. in Blytheville, Arkansas; along with her laborer in the gospel and husband of 23 years, Pastor Jerome Elliott. She is the proud mother of three beautiful children and 1 grandson. People of all ages, denominations, ethnic backgrounds, and walks of life have been touched by her message of faith and God’s love through her ministry, her service, and her daily journey. The anointing of God is evident in her teaching, praying, preaching, and career as a Registered Nurse. She carries with her the gift of hope, inspiration and God’s love. Evangelist Elliott humbly serves God and her community through the ministries she has established at Bridging The Gap Ministries, which include the BTGM youth tobacco prevention coalition in 2001, an abstinence education program she presents in schools, and event that equips children to return to school with adequate supplies, WOW (Women of Worship) a group from women age 17-30 years of age and a powerful evangelistic team. There are numerous other ministries at BTGM that address the needs of the community. First Lady Elliott is a faithful servant and dynamic teacher. Known for her dynamic preaching and practical teaching styles, her vibrant sermons are sometimes intense, often humorous, but always relevant. She communicates the message of Christ with sincerity and simplicity.
