5 Important Reasons To Intercede for your Pastor

  1. Pastors have more responsibility and accountability- James 3:1 - My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
  2. Pastors are more subject to temptation- The higher you go in Christian leadership, the higher you go on Satan's hit list.
  3. Pastors are more targeted by Spiritual warfare-Matthew 11:12 - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
  4. Pastors have more influence on others.  By the very nature of their ministry they have influence upon others. Luke 12:48 - But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
  5. Pastors have more visibility- because pastors are up front; they are constantly subject to gossip and criticism.

To Pastor Jerome Elliott
We are a flock of unruly sheep, quick to wander and often entangled in the world's thorns.  But you, as a faithful servant of Christ, have lovingly been shepherd, preacher, teacher, listener, comforter, counselor, administrator and dear friend to all.  Even as Christ laid down His life for the Church, you have given yourself in devoted service to this flock.  We love you, are thankful for you and pray for you daily.  May God richly bless you as you serve Him.
Something To Think About

Proud to call you my Pastor

A man who teaches the word of God,
the word of truth that gives the people power...
the power of love....the love of God!

A man who not only hugs the sheep, but
touches the heart of his flock.
The sheep know his voice and are blessed by his presence.

A man who teaches the medicinal benefits of laughter, and the financial benefits of giving.

A man whose singing brings light into dark places,
and pierces the heart into conviction.
A man whose smile actually means " I love you",
A man whose eyes say " I'm praying for you"
A man whose lessons from the pulpit make you jump up and say I can take on the world, bring it on!

A man who everyone has heard of, most people know, who many people want, but we have him! because he chose to stay our shepherd...

A man I appreciate and love, and who I am proud to call "My Pastor"!
